Volunteering with RRF

Want to volunteer with RRF? Here's what you need to know!
We work mainly at the community level and therefore encourage members of affected communities to assist us in empowering the people of Liberia. Basically everybody is welcome to support us and to help build up Liberia. We need you to improve the lives of everyone in our country!

Volunteers are needed in several of our current projects. Right now we are especially looking for:

Facilitators – You will help women in literacy courses learn how to read and write
Researchers – You will collect data in affected areas so we can effectively plan our upcoming projects
Project Followers – You will support our staff implementing special projects

If you think of another way you could support us please don’t hesitate to contact us! We will be very happy to hear from you!

What we expect from you:
·        Strong commitment to fight for social equality and community empowerment
·        Willingness to learn about strategies and methods we use as a NGO
·        Ability to work in a team and with a wide range of people
·        Friendly, reliable and approachable manner

What you receive:
·       Training – learning new skills about strategies and methods of NGOs
·       Experience – meeting new people in different situations and building new friendships
·       Fulfilment – knowing that your work will make a real difference to Liberians
·       Opportunity – qualifying for a future job in the field of development

Are you interested?
Please contact us and tell us what you would like to do and what motivates you to support us. We will respond to you as soon as we can!
Note that we normally cannot provide any financial support to volunteers due to the very limited funding of our projects.

Not a Liberian citizen? Would you like to do an international internship with us?
Get in touch with us and send us your application (motivational letter and CV). We will get back to you as soon as possible to discuss an individual internship programme with you.
Note that we cannot provide any accommodation, food or financial support, but we will help you find some good options in Monrovia and make sure that you will have a insightful and fulfilling time with us!

“I encourage you to be a volunteer for RRF because we got to help each other. It is always good to help! And for everything we do, though normally we look at the money, but the money is not the matter here. It is always good to help. So at the community level I advise you to help RRF to be a helper, to be a facilitator or to be a volunteer, like I do it now!”

RRF Women’s Group in Bomi
